Marymount University is looking for a Support Analyst to join the Information Technology Support team. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing and installing faculty and staff computers (including classroom support) and providing support for all audio/visual equipment.
The support analyst will also provide IT helpdesk support for all university residents, commuters and alumni students.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Identify, diagnose and resolve problems for users of university/student computer software and hardware.
- Install and maintain end‑user workstations, laptops, printers and peripherals.
- Repair faculty, staff and student computer hardware and software.
- Provide one‑on‑one end‑user problem resolution over the phone.
- Respond promptly to IT help desk ticket inquiries.
- Train users on system updates and virus/spyware removal/detection.
- Set up and use various audio/visual equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree (AA) or two‑year equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience1 to 2 years of related experience. IT support (hardware and software) including helpdesk support, computer repair and networking.
Licenses or CertificationsRequired:
HDI Desktop Support Technician certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Desirable:
CompTIA A+, MSCA, ACMT and/or ITIL.
No direct accountability for financial transactions.
SupervisionNone.
Special KnowledgeAdvanced knowledge of Windows OS, Mac OS X, Microsoft Office, hardware/software diagnostics and troubleshooting, virus/malware removal, remote access, networking basics; basic audio/visual equipment knowledge.
