Summary
Lidl US is searching for the next Store Support Specialist to join our IT team! The Store Support Specialist analyzes and optimizes existing and new store systems and processes, such as Point-of-Sale, Payment, Back-office, and store management systems. The role provides technical advice to other departments to support in implementation and on-going maintenance of the systems. This includes requirements gathering, specification, collaboration with external software suppliers, testing, documentation, and process modeling that enhance the entire organization.
PLEASE NOTE:
This position is based out of our corporate headquarters in Arlington, VA, and follows a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in-office.
- Oversees and manages assigned project and/or departments data, ensuring it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements
- Conduct data entry and data management for various department projects
- Assist with the development of training materials such as manuals, handbooks, presentations, diagrams, workflows, and project plans
- Ensure high standards of quality, stability, and consistency of the IT system environment according to Lidl US’ principles of administration and international guidelines
- Prioritize issues and ensure they are resolved within the defined SLAs
- Ensure issues are resolved within the defined SLAs
- Work closely with colleagues, outside vendors, and a variety of end users to ensure system compatibility and user satisfaction
- Oversee implementation of new systems including integrations and data migrations
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level incident management, including on-call duties outside regular business hours
- Translate needs, tasks, and goals of target audiences into creative concepts and functional software components
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to operate in a multi-user high-pressure environment
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines
- Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
- Ability to communicate with customers calmly and concisely
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to work independently
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computational Science, Business Administration
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
- Experience in the retail industry
