Technical, Product, & Program Managers - US Military Members & Veterans, Alexa Orchestration
At Amazon, we work backwards from the customer and invent on their behalf. We are seeking Technical Program Managers, Technical Product Managers, and Program Managers who thrive in complex, ambiguous environments and have a track record of delivering large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives that materially impact customers and the business.
In this role you will operate at the intersection of technology, product strategy, and execution—owning outcomes end‑to‑end across engineering, science, design, operations and business stakeholders. You will set direction, earn trust, dive deep into data and systems, and deliver results at Amazon scale.
Key job responsibilities- Own complex technical programs or products from concept through launch and sustained operations, driving measurable customer and business outcomes.
- Define vision, strategy, and success metrics, translating high‑level goals into executable roadmaps and milestones.
- Partner deeply with engineering teams, demonstrating technical fluency to evaluate design trade‑offs, risks, and system dependencies.
- Drive cross‑org alignment across engineering, product, science, UX, operations, finance, and leadership—often with competing priorities.
- Identify and mitigate risks early, using data, mechanism design, and escalation paths to unblock progress.
- Dive deep into data and systems, using metrics, dashboards, and narratives to inform decisions and influence leaders.
- Raise the bar for execution, documentation, and operational excellence through mechanisms, reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate crisply at all levels, from senior leadership narratives to detailed technical documents.
We lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives that span software systems, platforms, and services—often in environments where the path forward is not fully defined. Team members bring deep technical fluency, enabling them to engage meaningfully with engineering teams, evaluate design trade‑offs, and make informed decisions that balance short‑term delivery with long‑term system health. We work closely with partners across engineering, science, design, operations, and business teams to drive alignment and deliver results at scale.
We thrive in ambiguous, fast‑moving problem spaces, where influence matters more than authority and outcomes matter more than process. Success on this team requires strong judgment, data‑driven thinking, and the ability to turn complex goals into executable plans—while earning trust across diverse stakeholders.
