CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Dev Ops Application Specialist within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Dev Ops Application Specialist designs, implements, and maintains infrastructure and applications using Dev Ops principles to ensure continuous delivery, automated workflows, and robust system performance.

Key responsibilities include infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, cloud management, application deployment, monitoring, security integration (Dev Sec Ops ), and providing technical expertise for specific applications. They bridge the gap between development and operations, utilizing tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to streamline processes and improve application quality and delivery speed. This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Automation & IaC:
Architect, build, and maintain automated systems for deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• CI/CD Pipelines:
Develop and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Git Lab CI to automate code integration, testing, and deployment.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Management:
Deploy and configure applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and manage virtualized or hybrid environments.
• Application Deployment & Maintenance:
Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise applications, ensuring seamless integration and updates.
• Containerization:
Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to manage and scale applications.
• Monitoring & Alerting:
Implement monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Nagios) to track application performance, identify issues, and ensure system stability.
• Security (Dev Sec Ops ):
Integrate security practices into the Dev Ops lifecycle, ensuring compliance with policies and using tools for security monitoring and code analysis.
• Documentation:
Thoroughly document all solution details, processes, and configurations.
• Collaboration & Support:
Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and support staff, to resolve issues and provide technical support. Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Journeyman:

• Education and/or

Experience:

Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience

• Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired

• Operating Systems:
Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals and system administration.

• Cloud Platforms:

Experience with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

• CI/CD Tools:
Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Travis CI.

• Containerization:
Docker, Kubernetes.

• Configuration Management:
Ansible, Chef, Puppet.

• Scripting

Languages:

Python, Power Shell.

• Monitoring Tools:
Prometheus, Nagios, Splunk.

• Version Control:
Git, Bitbucket.
