IT Consultant; MSP

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Consultant to provide strategic and hands‑on technical support for a diverse client base. This role is ideal for a seasoned IT professional with 10+ years of progressive IT support experience, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. The IT Consultant will act as a trusted advisor, delivering expert‑level troubleshooting, infrastructure guidance, and technology solutions aligned with client business objectives.

This position features local travel to the DC Metro/Northern VA areas 1-2 times per week.

• Serve as a senior technical resource for clients, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex IT issues.
• Deliver onsite and remote IT consulting services across multiple client environments.
• Assess client infrastructure and recommend improvements related to performance, security, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Design, implement, and support IT solutions including servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security tools.
• Lead and support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, cloud transitions, and security initiatives.
• Work closely with clients to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Act as an escalation point for Tier 2/3 support issues within an MSP environment.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, documentation standards, and best practices.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, and client configurations.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians when needed.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, and industry best practices.
