You’ll work on state‑of‑the‑art research, advanced software tools, new AI systems, and machine learning algorithms, leveraging Amazon’s in‑house tech stack to bring innovative solutions to life.

- Architect and implement scalable, reliable data pipelines and infrastructure, supporting analytics at scale
- Design and enforce data modeling standards, lineage, and governance frameworks while ensuring secure, compliant solutions
- Lead technical design/code reviews, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive engineering best practices across the development lifecycle
- Work closely with business owners, developers, BI Engineers, and Data Scientists to deliver scalable solutions that enable teams to access and analyze data effectively
- Mentor junior engineers, foster technical excellence, and empower team self‑service capabilities for handling complex data tasks independently
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices
- Experience building modern cloud‑based data platforms for AI/ML and analytics use‑cases
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

The base pay for this position ranges from $139,100 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,500 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
