Job Summary:

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Strategic Planner with expertise in defense acquisition and strategic planning to help solve complex problems for their clients. The role involves working closely with senior portfolio management leaders to drive acquisition policy and defense procurement decisions, while reducing risk in the development of future energetics materials.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside senior portfolio management leaders on projects that drive acquisition policy and defense procurement decisions

• Reduce risk in the development of future energetics materials

• Assess technical capabilities, evaluate readiness, and establish doctrine for the DoD's air-launched munitions portfolio

• Recommend policy-driven solutions

• Participate in senior executive engagements

• Develop reporting tools to assess energetics capabilities against an evolving threat landscape

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in the DoD acquisition enterprise

• 3+ years of experience supporting research and development programs

• Experience standing up an office and developing strategic plans

• Experience taking the initiative

• Experience developing and evaluating acquisition strategies, acquisition program baselines, risk reduction plans, or international cooperation plans

• Experience reviewing the annual defense authorization and appropriations acts for provisions that affect air platform and weapons programs

• Knowledge of all phases of the planning, programming, and budgeting system

• Knowledge of munitions and energetic materials

Preferred:

• Experience in energetics material and technologies

• Experience working through Pentagon processes and taskings

• Experience supporting the preparation of program update briefings

• Experience supporting Government studies and audits

• Defense Acquisition University systems acquisition or defense industry certification
