Technical Writer (Hybrid)

Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid)
Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability clearance, as required by federal contract.

Summary:
The Technical Writer will support DHS CISA by developing clear, accurate, and accessible documentation that communicates complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role ensures consistency and compliance with agency standards across manuals, reports, training materials, and online content.

Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and reports.

• Translate technical concepts into accessible content for diverse audiences.

• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and project teams to gather and validate content.

• Ensure compliance with DHS and federal documentation standards.

• Maintain version control and update documents as systems or requirements change.

• Support proposal, policy, and training material development as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in technical writing or documentation support.

• Strong writing, editing, and formatting skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with SharePoint or Confluence preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
