Principle Pro Serve Cloud Architect, TMEGS-NAMER
Join the Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) Professional Services team as a Pro Serve Cloud Architect (PCA). In this role you work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, designing and implementing tailored cloud solutions, and providing technical expertise throughout the customer's cloud journey.
Key Responsibilities- Design complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions, estimates, and proposals to deliver customer business outcomes (CBOs).
- Provide technical guidance and best practices during the sales and implementation phases.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.
- 10+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
- Experience managing and delivering large‑scale enterprise IT projects.
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g., security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA).
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies.
- 6+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, analytics, database, and storage.
- Advanced technology degree or AWS Professional level certification.
- Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards, including HIPAA and GDPR.
- Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments.
- Experience managing executive customer relationships and key business stakeholders.
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and identifying relationships between business services, information, applications, and global infrastructure assets.
- Experience with enterprise systems, including SAP, Oracle, and custom applications.
- Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments.
- Experience explaining technical concepts in pre‑sales environments.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation, such as equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation, may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
