Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Sustainability Policy Consultant to support the Sustainability Policy team in training and fine-tuning a newly developed internal AI policy tool. This tool is designed to support Policy groups across the enterprise by improving access to, interpretation of, and alignment with global sustainability, ESG, and regulatory policy requirements.

This consultant will play a critical role in ensuring the AI tool is accurate, practical, and highly valuable to internal stakeholders by embedding deep policy expertise, regulatory context, and real-world compliance considerations into the system. The role requires a strong execution mindset, comfort working at the intersection of policy, data, and technology, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

• Translate complex sustainability, ESG, and public policy requirements into structured inputs, guidance, and use cases for AI training
• Validate AI outputs for accuracy, regulatory relevance, clarity, and usability
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks in AI-generated content and recommend enhancements
• Partner closely with technical, data, and product teams to improve model performance and policy interpretation logic
• Apply deep expertise in global sustainability, ESG, and public policy frameworks, including but not limited to climate, environmental, social, and governance regulations
• Ensure AI outputs align with current and emerging compliance, reporting, and policy standards
• Ensure consistency between policy guidance, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations
• Support documentation, validation, and governance processes related to AI-enabled policy outputs
• Engage with Sustainability, Policy, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Technology stakeholders across the enterprise
• Gather feedback from end users to improve AI usability and effectiveness
• Communicate complex policy topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams on policy interpretation and AI-enabled decision support

• 7+ years of experience in a Public Policy, Sustainability Policy, ESG, Regulatory, or Compliance-focused role
• Demonstrated deep expertise in global ESG and sustainability regulations and policy frameworks
• Hands‑on experience with compliance, regulatory reporting, or policy‑driven disclosures
• Strong comfort working with data, technology, and digital tools, including AI‑enabled platforms
• Proven ability to operate in a heads‑down, execution‑oriented role while maintaining high attention to detail
• Experience managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across functions
