Base Salary Range (Washington, DC):$178,000 – $254,000 USD

MissionThis organization’s public sector division delivers cutting-edge American commercial technology to strengthen national defense and homeland security. As part of this elite delivery team, you’ll help execute critical initiatives that enhance layered defense capabilities for the United States. You’ll drive operational innovation, translate advanced AI into real-world impact, and work at the intersection of technology, strategy, and mission delivery.
This team is seeking multiple hires at different experience levels—from senior leaders with 20–25+ years of service (typically O6 or equivalent) to mid-level professionals with deep operational or technical experience in missile defense, long-range air defense, or space systems integration and delivery.
Ideal candidates may come from the military, defense primes, or other large organizations and are now seeking to move into a high-impact, fast-moving technology company transforming national security.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrive innovation and transformation by solving complex technical and operational challenges within national defense ecosystems
Partner closely with engineering and operations teams to transition AI/ML technologies into deployable solutions, even when requirements are ambiguous
Use analytics, systems thinking, and mission expertise to guide development of agentic AI tools supporting homeland defense initiatives
Serve as a hands-on leader managing customer relationships and mission-critical project delivery
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to exceed customer objectives in the domains of computer vision, generative AI, and autonomous decision-making
Collaborate across public and private sector partners to advance multi-domain defense integration
QualificationsRequired:
Active
TS/SCI
clearance
Minimum
10 years
of leadership experience in technical, operational, or program management roles within industry or government
Strong technical background (education or professional experience in computer science, engineering, or systems integration)
Deep understanding of
machine learning operations (MLOps)processes
Demonstrated ability to lead structured, analytics-driven problem solving
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel up to
25%
Preferred:
20–25+ years of experience at senior leadership levels (O6 or equivalent) for senior-track candidates
Operational or technical background in
missile defense

space operations
Experience working with or within large defense primes and a desire to transition to a faster-paced, more entrepreneurial environment
Proficiency in
Python, SQL

Proven record in client-facing or government technical delivery roles
Base Salary Range (Washington, DC):$178,000 – $254,000 USD
