We are seeking a passionate Quality Assurance, System Testing, Network Testing, Security Testing, Zero Trust Validation, and Backend Engineer to join our team and ensure compliance standards and strengthen the organization’s security infrastructure.
In this role, you will evaluate the implementation of Zero Trust (ZT) principles, identify vulnerabilities, recommend remediation, and assist in engineering and recommending ZT solutions to meet compliance standards and strengthen the organization’s security infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities- Key Responsibilities:
- Validate ZT implementations and collaborate with experts to identify gaps in security and access controls.
- Document audit findings, observations, and recommendations in clear reports.
- Provide actionable, risk-based recommendations to improve ZT maturity and security posture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to track identified vulnerabilities and remediation progress.
- Develop and implement remediation plans with IT teams, System Owners, and ISSOs.
- Guide stakeholders in remediating ZT gaps and improving compliance status.
- Conduct technical vulnerability assessments and configuration testing specific to ZT principles.
- Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
- Identify and document defects; collaborate with development to resolve issues.
- Ensure test coverage aligns with project requirements.
- Implement and maintain automated test cases to streamline testing processes.
- System Testing:
- Execute system-level testing to verify integration of components and modules.
- Evaluate system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Maintain system test documentation, including test plans and reports.
- Network Testing:
- Assess software performance, security, and reliability in networked environments.
- Identify and address network-related issues and bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with network administrators to optimize performance.
- Security Testing:
- Execute security testing to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
- Collaborate with the security team to implement and validate controls.
- Validate compliance with industry standards and security protocols.
- Database Management:
- Analyze database design, implementation, and schemas for data integrity and performance.
- Ensure seamless integration between application and database.
- Backend Development:
- Contribute to backend services, APIs, and server-side components.
- Collaboration with front-end developers for smooth communication.
- Apply security best practices in backend development.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain quality and consistency.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with best practices, emerging technologies, and testing methodologies.
- Propose improvements to testing, database, network, security, ZT validation, and backend development processes.
- Collaborate with teams to identify process enhancements.
- Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in QA, system testing, network testing, security testing, ZT validation, database management, and backend development.
- Proficiency in test planning, design, and defect tracking.
- Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Java, or similar) for test automation.
- Familiarity with testing tools/frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Excellent problem‑solving and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB or similar certification.
- CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Knowledge of version control (Git).
- Agile development methodology understanding.
- Database management experience (MySQL, Postgre
SQL). - Backend development in Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Network testing tools/protocols (Wireshark, TCP/IP).
- Security testing knowledge (OWASP, etc.).
- Familiarity with Zero Trust principles.
- Preferred certifications include CAP, CISM, CISSP, CCSK, CCISO, or DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher.
- Minimum of active Secret Clearance.
- Remote.
