IMPORTANT NOTE TO APPLICANTS:This is a policy and compliance role, NOT an IT or Cybersecurity position. This position does not involve setting up networks, administering IT systems, or cybersecurity operations. We are strictly seeking candidates with military service headquarters experience in traditional government Information Security (INFOSEC). Your background must reflect deep expertise in the physical safeguarding, handling, and marking of Classified National Security Information (CNSI) and policy enforcement under Executive Order 13526.
If your primary experience is in IT infrastructure or network security, this role is not a match.

Must be a U.S. Citizen EducationA bachelor's degree in a security related discipline and a minimum of five years documented qualifying experience in the areas below is required. Ten years of documented experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Required Experience- Knowledge and experience in a variety of staff/action officer functions involved in Information Security policy, planning, assessment, and administration at a military service headquarters. Such experience should include: safeguarding, handling, and marking of Classified National Security Information (CNSI), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and Sensitive but Unclassified (SBU) information;
Executive Order 13526 and its implementing directive 32 C.F.R. Parts 2001 and 2003; and handling of security violations. - Demonstrate the ability to communicate by developing complex technical and security materials, such as USCG policies, Tactics Techniques and Procedures, job aids, reports and documentation manuals; and distilling and translating them into easily understood materials suitable for a variety of audiences, including government employees, supervisors, and the general public. Ability to review and edit complex materials for required USCG format, content, style, grammar, completeness, technical accuracy, and audience suitability.
Further, they must possess knowledge of technical communication concepts (e.g., information design, editing practices and software applications). - Possess the ability to develop, refine, or modify materials containing complex, technical, security ideas from a variety of sources for a variety of audiences. Additionally, the Contractor must have the ability to prepare clear and concise written documents in accordance with the USCG Correspondence guidance that compels others to take a course of action, instruct others in carrying out activities, or explain the purpose, goals, and objectives of a policy or regulations.
- Possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a multi-discipline of subject matter experts, and in facilitating and gaining organizational consensus.
- Possess an intermediate or higher skill level with various types of information technology applications, such as Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Access, Excel, DOD
365 and PowerPoint. The Analyst must have the knowledge, skill, and appropriate access to use government databases; such as Coast Guard Business Intelligence (CGBI) and any prodecessor system.
