Role Overview Our organization is seeking a Service Desk Technician to support a United States Air Force initiative focused on developing an interoperable system in a cloud-based command and control environment. This role serves as a frontline technical resource providing operational support for workstations, servers, and operating systems. This is a full-time, on-site position for an overnight shift.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance for workstations, servers, and operating systems, including patching and troubleshooting.
* Manage and support 16 workstations using Active Directory for user management.
* Utilize Service Now to track and resolve issues.
* Triage security issues, engaging internal teams and escalating as necessary to ensure timely remediation.
* Apply troubleshooting methods to resolve hardware, software, licensing, and account-related issues.
* Assist with scheduled software installations and upgrades.
* Monitor system performance and report anomalies to appropriate teams.
* Conduct hardware and software audits to verify compliance with established standards.

Required Qualifications

* Experience:

*** Experience with ticketing systems (preferably Service Now), basic desktop and Windows support, Active Directory user management, and system patching.
*
* Certifications:

*** Must possess a current DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CYSA+).

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience using Service Now.
* Experience in a DoD military operations support center.
* Experience managing and troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems in virtual and physical environments.
* Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory.
* Experience supporting cloud-based environments, preferably AWS.
* Familiarity with network administration.
* Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, or Dev Sec Ops .
