This position is located in the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (OUSW(I&S)), Office of the Director for Defense Intelligence (Counterintelligence, Law Enforcement and Security) (DDI(CL&S)).
Key ResponsibilitiesThis Position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601 If selected, Federal employees currently serving in the competitive service must acknowledge that they will voluntarily leave the competitive service by accepting an offer of employment for a DCIPS excepted service positions.
If selected, non-DCIPS candidates must acknowledge that the position they have been selected for is in the excepted service and covered by DCIPS. For more information see (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:
Serves as a subject matter expert and advisor on the Department of War (DoW) personnel vetting programs.
Leads the implementation of key security initiatives, including the revised Federal Investigative Standards (Trusted Workforce 2.0) and the enterprise-wide Continuous Evaluation (CE) and Continuous Vetting (CV) program. Represents the OUSW(I&S) in interagency forums, committees, and working groups to formulate, coordinate, and align national security policy and procedures.
Coordinates with colleagues in physical, industrial, and information security to ensure the optimal cross-functional integration of key security policies.
