Associate Corporate Counsel, AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services

Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented Associate Corporate Counsel to support Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business at the forefront of cloud computing.

This Associate Corporate Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and will support the AWS Specialists & Partners team. This Associate Corporate Counsel will draft, negotiate, and advise on strategic contracts and initiatives with customers and partners. Typical transactions will range from standard contracts to complex, high-dollar-value strategic agreements.

The successful candidate has excellent communication and organizational skills. They are enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. They are able to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate works well within a large legal team, but is also able to work independently.

We hire attorneys with experience in a variety of practice areas, including (but not limited to) litigation, general corporate, mergers & acquisitions, technical transactions, intellectual property, telecommunications, real estate, products, regulatory compliance, and privacy. We don’t expect every applicant to have experience working with cloud computing, and we are looking for candidates who are willing to learn and develop alongside our team.

• 2+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
