Base Pay Range: $65,357.76/yr – $94,405.65/yr
Responsibilities- Conduct searches and analyze result sets to separate non‑responsive documents from responsive ones and screen responsive documents for privilege or FOIA exemptions.
- Redact and code responsive documents.
- Perform legal research.
- Draft legal documents.
- Consistently deliver high‑quality work under extreme pressure.
- Obtain a government security clearance.
- Paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA‑accredited law school (at least one year of study).
- At least one year of litigation paralegal experience (trial experience very helpful).
- Experience with Nuix Investigate, Relativity, and/or other eDiscovery and document review tools strongly desired.
- Experience processing FOIA requests.
- Demonstrated knowledge of FOIA rules and regulations; applying exemptions.
- Basic legal knowledge, including citation and use of LEXIS/Westlaw for research.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.
- Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures.
- Two years experience using Nuix Investigate for document review and tagging.
- Two years experience processing FOIA requests for federal agencies.
- Fluency in statutory and regulatory guidelines to FOIA responses.
