Public Outreach is hiring Face-to-Face Fundraisers to join our team in Northern Virginia.
You'll work alongside a supportive team, talking with people face-to-face about important issues and inspiring them to take action by becoming monthly donors.
Our teams currently fundraise on behalf of organizations supporting work connected to human rights, humanitarian aid, children's well-being, and communities around the world.
You don't need fundraising experience.
We're looking for people who are comfortable talking to others, care about making an impact, and are willing to learn. If you've worked in hospitality, retail, customer service, education, advocacy, theatre, sales, community work - or simply know how to connect with people - we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do- Talk with members of the public face-to-face
- Represent respected nonprofit and humanitarian organizations
- Educate people about important social and humanitarian issues
- Inspire people to support nonprofit campaigns through monthly donations
- Work alongside an energetic and supportive fundraising team
- Develop your communication, confidence, advocacy, and leadership skills
- Work toward individual and team fundraising goals
You don't need previous fundraising experience. We're looking for people who are:
- 18 years of age or older
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- Comfortable approaching and starting conversations with new people
- Passionate about social impact, human rights, humanitarian issues, or community work
- Resilient - you can hear "no" and confidently move on to the next conversation
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors and being active throughout your shift
- Able to reliably travel to team meeting points and fundraising locations throughout Northern Virginia and the greater DC area
- $20/hour guaranteed
