Hospitalist APP – Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (PRN) – VHC Health

An Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) will support clinical objectives, budget, performance metrics, and medical activities at the individual level, including implementation of quality control standards, risk management and compliance programs. The role requires completion of an APP Agreement detailing scope of practice, privileges, documentation responsibilities, and evaluation.

• Collaborate with physicians to provide patient care under the APP Agreement.
• Implement quality control standards and risk management protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support evaluation processes.
• Prescribe medications within the authorized scope.
• Support budget and performance metrics for the department.

• Educational:
  Master’s in Nursing or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (preferred).
• Licensure:
  Valid Virginia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• Certification:
  Current NCCPA certification (required); BLS required; ACLS preferred for PAs.
• Registered Nurse license required for NPs.
