Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN with an active VA or Compact license for a night shift assignment in a cardiovascular intensive care unit.

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic Clinical Documentation experience required or willingness to complete training class

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3x12 hours with an option for 4x12s
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment duration
• Uses Epic Clinical Documentation system
• Floating required to regular ICU (potential COVID patients), CV stepdown, and/or cardiac telemetry unit
• On-call responsibilities apply only to certain specialty areas such as OT, IR, and Cath Lab
• Care for critically ill cardiovascular patients in an ICU setting
• Floating assignments completed in rotation with staff RNs per facility policy and Joint Commission standards
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable training modules required during orientation
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) unless an approved exemption is granted
• Facility is smoke and nicotine free
• Minimal RTO requests preferred, with some holiday coverage expected
• Previous VHC staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• On-call required for select specialty units within 30 miles or 30 minutes of campus
