BCS Allegient is currently hiring for a Senior Research Analyst – International SETA to join our team at the Office of Naval Research in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities:
The International SETA is a vital member of this team responsible for supporting all aspects overseeing the completion of tasks related to international engagements (NATO, FVEY, ICEPPR). The International SETA will have a particular focus in managing external relations for ONR Code 34 senior leadership at the Department level. External partners and research performers include a wide range of individuals and organizations, including the other services (Army, Air Force, and The Coast Guard), other government agencies, academia, industry and many components within the US Navy and Marine Corps.
The Senior Research Analyst will assist Leadership in managing deadlines and required documents of the international stakeholders, communicating with members, providing feedback on relevant technical briefs, prepare Power Point presentations, organize meetings, and support multiple leadership clients in the collection, review, and analysis of information. They will directly assist the leadership in the overall management and execution of the below functions:
Prepare nomination packages for the NATO Science and Technology Organization (STO) Human Factors and Medicine (HFM) Panel by helping to resolve issues related to pending or approved nominations. Tracking U.S.
-authored Technical Activity Proposals (TAPs) and coordinating their submission.
Facilitating the submission of required publication forms for Panels.
Prepare and draft analyses, presentations, speeches, and reports relative to project and program management goals, objectives, and results.
Assist and support program and financial reviews, Governmental and Industry events, and sponsored or non-sponsored key demonstrations or tests.
Collect, report, and archive regulations, policy, guidance, legislations, laws, and Congressional language related to supported programs and systems.
Organize meetings with domestic and international participants.
Job Requirements:
Current SECRET Clearance
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Science (ScD) from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of relevant work experience; OR Master’s Degree plus five (5) years of relevant work experience in at least one of the following disciplines:
Life Science, Social Science, or International Relations.
Demonstrated ability to support DoW senior leadership at the SES level and engage comparable stakeholders across international engagement activities as needed across DoW activities.
Demonstrated ability to proactively read and understand technical material and summarize the material;
Demonstrated experience as an events planner;
Demonstrated experience attending scientific and engineering (S&E) meetings;
Demonstrated experience in writing scientific documents and developing scientific briefings;
Ability to keep track of numerous research activities within each international effort and work several international efforts simultaneously;
Ability to take detailed and accurate meeting minutes and distribute them in a timely manner;
Ability to develop and format documents in a manner required by each international organization. Desired additional qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of the science and engineering research conducted by the DoD.
Demonstrated experience interacting with international research organizations.
