Group and Job Profile GuidanceThe Joint Test & Evaluation (JT&E) program considers emerging technologies and the increasingly complex and dynamic joint, multi-domain operational environment to develop non-material solutions intended to enhance the United States’ operational effectiveness, suitability, and survivability in combat.
Primary Job Functions- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support Joint Test & Evaluation (JT&E) projects and enhance operational decision-making.
- Apply statistical methods, modeling & simulation techniques, and operations research methodologies to assess joint military operations and improve mission effectiveness.
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to optimize military operations, force readiness, and strategic planning.
- Utilize computer-based analytical tools to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify risks, limitations, and operational challenges in joint military environments and recommend analytical solutions.
- Apply process modeling and analytical techniques to identify operational challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Conduct problem decomposition, concept development, and data-driven analysis to support joint military operations.
- Provide parametric and non-parametric statistics, data analysis techniques, computer analysis tools, basic modeling and simulation applications, and survey test and evaluation methods.
- Master's Degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field with at least 5 years of ORSA-related experience (totaling 10 years) may be considered.
- A Master's Degree in a non-technical field may be substituted with 10+ years of ORSA-related experience in military or government civilian experience.
- Proficiency in statistics, data analysis techniques, computer analysis tools, basic modeling and simulation applications, and human factors analysis.
- Experience developing test and evaluation plans (preferred but not required).
