The beautiful Double Tree by Hilton Crystal City is seeking a full‑time Lead Cook to join their culinary team! This 627‑room property is half a mile south of the Pentagon near I‑395, and the Pentagon City Metro station is only a three‑block walk away.

In this position, you would oversee a team of union cooks and stewards, reporting to both the executive sous‑chef and the executive chef. You would supervise culinary operations for both the hotel's restaurants and banquets.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess at least three years' experience cooking in a high‑volume full‑service kitchen (either for a standalone restaurant or within a hotel). Previous union experience or banquet/catering culinary experience would be considered an asset.

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work both AM and PM shifts as needed, any day of the week, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay Rate: $26.20 per hour.

As a Lead Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Oversee preparation of food in all areas during assigned shift
• Prepare fish and meats
• Assist and support kitchen team members
• Communicate any challenges to Chef/Sous Chef
• Assist Chef/Sous Chef in overseeing cleanliness and sanitation
• Set up daily specials and happy hour food according to schedule and spaces
• Visually inspect food quality and presentation
• Prepare staff schedules with guidance of Chef/Sous Chef
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company food handling and food storage procedures
