. This role will develop and maintain strategic relationships with corporate accounts, travel managers, and group clients in the corporate market, while ensuring both properties remain top-of-mind for business travel and small to mid-size group events. This position will serve as a key member of the area sales team, representing the hotels’ unique brand stories while achieving revenue goals through proactive sales efforts, client engagement, and strategic account management.
Sales & Business Development
- Source, solicit, and close new corporate group and transient business opportunities for both hotels through proactive outside sales efforts, prospecting, and networking.
- Identify and develop relationships with local, regional, and national corporate accounts
, third-party planners, and travel buyers. - Conduct sales calls, virtual meetings, and site inspections to showcase the properties and convert leads into bookings.
- Respond to RFPs for corporate negotiated rates and group blocks in coordination with Marriott systems when applicable.
- Develop strategic account plans for key local and national corporate clients across both hotels.
- Maintain account production and pipeline reports using CRM systems (e.g., Marriott CI/TY, Travel Click Agency and Demand
360 reports). - Manage and optimize corporate negotiated accounts (LNR) and small to mid-size group blocks
. - Serve as a market expert for Old Town Alexandria, understanding the competitive landscape and positioning each property accordingly.
- Work closely with the Area DOSM, Revenue Management, Front Office, and Events teams to ensure smooth hand-off and execution of all confirmed bookings.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment between the two properties regarding sales strategies, group logistics, and account servicing.
- Represent both hotels at industry events
, sales missions, trade shows, and networking functions where applicable.
- Monitor and report on group pace, transient production, and corporate account performance across both hotels.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals set in conjunction with the Area DOSM and property leadership.
- Track and analyze sales performance, booking trends, and market intelligence to inform future strategy.

- Collaborative, flexible, and comfortable working in a multi-property role
- Based on-site in Old Town Alexandria, with onsite presence at both The Alexandrian and Morrison House
. - Some travel required for client meetings, local events, and trade shows.
- May involve evening or weekend work during client events, networking receptions, or site visits.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience
, preferably in a lifestyle, luxury, or boutique environment. - Prior experience managing both group and business travel segments
. - Familiarity with Marriott systems (CI/TY, MARSHA, Lanyon, MARRFP, MRDW) strongly preferred.

- Skills:
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across two properties.
