Job DescriptionUnarmed Security Officer
Arlington, VA, United States
Salary: $22.00 – $22.00 per hour
Qualifications- Current DCJS Unarmed Security License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Virginia Security License (certification required)
- Reliability, strong communication skills, and sound judgment in a school setting
- Former law enforcement officers, military veterans, and experienced security professionals are highly encouraged to apply.
- Monitor and control access to school grounds, entrances, and buildings to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Provide a professional and reassuring presence while interacting with students, staff, and visitors.
- Conduct patrols of campus facilities and outdoor areas to deter and detect potential safety or security concerns.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or requests for assistance and follow established protocols.
- Communicate clearly with school staff, law enforcement, and Tri Corps management regarding safety issues or incidents.
- Prepare accurate and detailed reports documenting daily activity, observations, and incidents.
- Support emergency procedures and assist during drills or crisis situations as directed.
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.
- Remain alert and observant throughout each shift to ensure proactive awareness of surroundings.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate calm judgment and professionalism in all interactions.
- Follow all client and Tri Corps guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of service.
- Positions available in Arlington, Virginia
- Shifts may include days, evenings, and special school events as scheduled.
