Certified Tower Climber – Inspection Specialist
Crown is looking for Certified Tower Climbers – Inspection Specialists to join our team! As a Tower Climber – Inspection Specialist, you will be responsible for climbing and inspecting communication towers and related infrastructure. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work at height under various weather conditions. This job requires 100% travel.
Key Responsibilities- Climb towers up to 500 feet and perform detailed structural and safety inspections
- Document tower conditions with photos, videos, and written reports
- Identify and assess structural damage, corrosion, or other hazards
- Verify compliance with ANSI/TIA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards
- Maintain inspection logs and recommend repair or maintenance actions
- Follow all company and industry safety protocols
- Work collaboratively with field and office personnel
- Travel to job sites, often on short notice
- Certified Tower Climber (Com Train, SPRAT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1–2 years of climbing and inspection experience
- Familiarity with tower types (monopole, guyed, self-supporting)
- Knowledge of rigging practices, PPE, and fall protection systems
- Ability to read and interpret tower drawings, inspection checklists, and technical reports
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check
This job requires 100% travel. The candidate must have good credit. Crown will reimburse travel expenses every 10 days.
Preferred Qualifications- First Aid/CPR and rescue training
- Experience with climbing in extreme environments (cold, heat, etc.)
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
