Position OverviewThe Commercial Roofing Superintendent will be part of the Production Team, responsible for replacing existing roof systems and installing new roof systems on commercial buildings. You will serve as the liaison between the Project Manager, the Roofing Crew, and the client’s onsite representatives.
Salary$70,000 - $100,000
Duties and Responsibilities- Complete the initial safety and technical training onboarding.
- Learn the basic technical details of various roof systems.
- Assist with the planning and execution of tasks such as:
- Demolition and removal of existing roofing material
- Loading and unloading roofing material and equipment
- Assisting the production crew with laying out material as needed
- Installing roofing insulation, substrate boards, cover boards, and membrane
- Completing various flashing details to ensure a water‑tight roofing system
- Maintain a clean and safe work site.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain roofing equipment and tools.
- Perform quality control inspections and maintain quality control standards.
- Conduct material inventory counts as required.

- Minimum 3 years in the roofing industry working in a production or service environment. Be prepared to discuss jobs worked on, systems installed, and your role in the process.
- Ability to install TPO, PVC, Modified Bitumen, fully adhered, mechanically attached, Rhinobond, etc.
- Previous experience installing metal accessories: gutters, downspouts, fascia, coping, drip edge, etc.
- Previous experience with a mobile clock‑in/clock‑out system.
- Clear a national, state, and local background check.
- Three‑year motor vehicle record meeting standards to drive company vehicles (if hired as a driver).
- Pass pre‑employment drug screen.
- Complete post‑hire fit‑for‑duty screening.
- Pass the 90‑day introductory period.
- 40‑60 hour work weeks with up to 100% travel.
- Consistent and reliable timeliness and attendance.
- Rotating one weekend per month on‑call schedule.
- Periodic, regional, and overnight stays for job completion.
- Ability to operate mobile technology systems and programs.
- Willingness to learn from other technicians and direct supervisors.
- Trustworthy and willing to work unsupervised periods.
- Excellent communicator, both oral and written, with customer service skill set.
- Basic computer literacy required.
The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and extreme weather conditions on roofing job sites. Exposure can be inside and outside.
Physical DemandsThe employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. They must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time position with flexible hours.
TravelUp to 100% travel expected.
