Electronics Mechanic

This Position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Facilities Operations and Services Division (FOSD). The incumbent serves as an Electronics Mechanic (Fire Alarm). The work centers around maintenance, repair, and modification of a central fire alarm system comprised of various types of signaling equipment. Work is performed in accordance with all applicable codes, schematics, and instructions from supervisors.

• The incumbent is required to wear protective equipment, i.e., arc flash rated suit, tyvek suits and respirators, while working in hazardous areas.
• This position requires the employee to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, holidays and may be subject to call 24 hours a day.
• This position may require up to 10% occasional travel away from your normal duty station for official business on military or commercial aircraft.
• This position is MISSION ESSENTIAL. Mission essential employees may be required to report for, or remain at, work in dismissal or closure situations due to adverse weather or other emergencies unless specifically excused by their supervisor.
