Senior Software Engineer - Applied AI Team

Responsibilities- Build large‑scale, distributed, API‑driven systems using Node.js and modern scalable design patterns on AWS.
- Design and implement infrastructure with Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
- Architect and develop event‑driven applications using AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, Dynamo
DB, and S3. - Integrate generative AI capabilities and deploy machine‑learning models into production applications.
- Build and optimize small classifiers and work with generative AI and classical machine‑learning approaches.
- Drive and lead software design, development standards, code reviews, and production releases.
- Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers and AI practitioners across the organization.
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies and scalable architecture patterns to identify opportunities and best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and take an active role in knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, in‑person, not for profit university or college.
- 5+ years of production development experience with Node.js in large‑scale, mission‑critical applications.
- Strong understanding of modern scalable design patterns and distributed systems architecture.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services including Lambda, SQS, Dynamo
DB, S3, and other core AWS resources. - Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the full development lifecycle.
- Solid understanding of GenAI concepts and classical machine‑learning fundamentals.
- Experience in architecting, designing, and building event‑driven applications in an agile environment.
- Proficiency in unit and performance testing.
- Track record of commitment to previous employers.
- Experience with machine‑learning libraries (Tensor Flow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, Hugging Face Transformers).
- Experience deploying machine‑learning models to production.
- Experience building small classifiers or working with model fine‑tuning.
- `.NET Core` development experience.
- Experience with Open Search, Redis, Kafka.
