Cloud Engineer - Software, Software Engineer
A leading biometrics and cybersecurity company headquartered in Reston, VA, is looking for a full-time Software Developer to join their team. In this role, you’ll help design and maintain microservices-based applications that power border security and counter‑terrorism systems worldwide. You’ll be building systems that support passenger biometric recognition, immigration processing, and advanced threat detection. Working alongside senior developers, Dev Ops engineers, and data experts in an Agile environment, you’ll sharpen your backend development, database, and cloud computing skills while contributing to mission‑critical solutions.

- Professional experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL)
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins) and Git Hub
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering OR 8+ years of equivalent experience
- Kafka experience
- JavaScript/Type Script and React development
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Agile team experience
- Background in analytics, systems engineering, or administration
