Software Engineer (Hybrid)
Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid)
Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability clearance, as required by federal contract.
Summary:
The Software Engineer will support DHS CISA by designing, developing, and maintaining secure applications that enable mission-critical operations and modernization. This role contributes to Agile and Dev Sec Ops environments to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software using Java, Python, C++, or C#.
- Apply secure coding practices and implement automated testing frameworks.
- Participate in Agile sprints and CI/CD pipelines within Dev Sec Ops environments.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate with system architects, developers, and analysts to align solutions with mission requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS Gov Cloud, Azure Gov) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
