Allocore seeks a talented and experienced Lead Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in Python and Django to lead our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and high-performance web applications in the fintech sector. You will drive the technical direction of projects, mentor/lead the engineering team, and ensure the highest quality standards are met.

You must be in the DC/DMV area, as this is a hybrid role.

• Lead the design and development of complex fintech software solutions

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Contribute to the overall architecture

• Identify and troubleshoot performance issues
• Design and implement efficient code structures

• You must be in the DC/DMV area, as this is a hybrid role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python and Django
• Proven track record of designing and building scalable, high-performance web applications in the fintech industry
• Deep understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with database design and management (e.g., Postgre

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance (applicants must be U.S. citizens)

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong presence in the developer community
• Previous experience in the fintech industry, with an understanding of financial systems & regulations
