Aquila's Fitness Specialist assists members in safe and effective exercise and performs a wide range of technical exercise and administrative duties in a health/fitness center.

Pay: $46,500 annually (or $22.36/hour). Work week:
Monday‑Friday with rotating schedules of 6a.m.–2p.m., 9a.m.–5p.m., or 11a.m.–7p.m.

• Supervise exercise areas
• Educate members on safe exercise techniques
• Perform exercise assessments and prescribe programs following American College of Sports Medicine guidelines
• Conduct cardiovascular, strength, flexibility, and body‑composition assessments; evaluate data and identify high‑risk participants and special populations
• Assist members with spotting and equipment use
• Explain all equipment
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of equipment
• Adhere to departmental, club, and client policies and procedures
• Attend staff meetings
• Assist with wellness and fitness promotions and external events
• Perform daily administrative duties

• B.S. in Exercise Physiology or a related health/fitness field
• National fitness certification accredited by NCCA (ACE, NASM, AFAA, ACSM, or NSCA); certification obtainable within 90 days of hire
• Active CPR certification
• 0–1 year experience supervising adults during exercise
• U.S. citizenship (required for federal agency location security clearance)
