What does a Warehouse Supervisor do?

Responsible for supervising the warehousing and shipping of incoming and outgoing materials. Supervises warehouse personnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
  • Supervise the daily activities of the warehouse ensuring the following of safety operating procedures.
  • Schedule warehouse team members to meet the demands of the facility.
  • Allocate necessary space for stock rotation.
  • Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels and product loss control.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving functions as applicable.
  • Secure company assets.
  • Manage within labor and OPEX budget.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or GED) required and
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2-4 years warehouse/inventory experience required and
  • 2-4 years supervising warehouse/inventory staff required and
  • Experience managing budget required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office programs
  • Proficient with SAP or similar MRP programs
  • Able to lead front‑line employees effectively – may be in a unionized environment
  • Team oriented
  • Can‑do Will do Attitude
  • Able to handle conflict
  • Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack required
  • Ability lift product (up to 50lb) frequently and repetitively required

Base pay range is $80,500 to $85,863 plus bonus structure (dependent on role). Pay offered will depend on candidate’s geographic location, prior relevant experience, knowledge, skills, & abilities.
