Overview

Company Description

We are a manufacturer of structural parts for the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the large business and regional jet markets. Our experience and capabilities span multiple segments of an aircraft, including the engine pylon, struts, wing box, wings, wheel well, and the interior. Our success is based on utilizing proprietary manufacturing techniques to manufacture high quality complex parts through cost effective production.

Responsibilities
  • Operate numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate aerospace parts per engineering specifications without supervision
  • Receive on-the-job training to set up jobs with supervision
  • Set up, run, and dimensionally maintain quality in a production environment
  • Demonstrate good inspection skills and blueprint reading with the ability to use all shop inspection tools
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and recognize production problems such as out-of-tolerance machining, poor finishes, damaged or worn cutters, and tooling
  • Dial in a hole or edge-find and set machine offsets
  • Understand G & M code
  • Move across multiple machine centers as needed
  • Meet job standard times with minimal supervision
  • Follow all safety guidelines and proper use of safety equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Key Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for start of shift
  • Properly uses tools necessary to complete a setup and inspect the first part (edge finders, indicators, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail
  • Communicates well verbally and in writing
  • Good manual dexterity and sense of spatial relationships
Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Three years plus experience running a CNC mill or recent Machinist Tech Training Certificate
  • Proven ability to consistently run good parts that meet production standards
  • Strong skills and aptitude in math
  • Ability to perform basic functions with MS Windows-based computer operating systems, such as opening and closing files
  • Completion of Machine Proficiency test during interview process

Salary Offering: $24.50 per hour to $38.00 per hour

Shift: M-TH 4:30pm - 3:00am, Fri/Sat/Sun 4:30am - 5:00pm, Fri/Sat/Sun 5:00pm - 4:30am (see below for shift premium and shift differential pay)
