Junior Accountant

Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a leading and growing manufacturing business in the Co. Armagh to recruit an PQ or Qual Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment while gaining exposure to operational finance, ERP implementation and business partnering.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting commercial decision-making and driving continuous improvement across finance and operations. Your new role As Junior Accountant, you will be involved in a broad range of accounting and operational finance activities, including:
Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports. Taking a key role in the implementation of a new ERP system. Collecting, analysing and reporting operational and production data. Supporting stock control processes and inventory reporting. Assisting with cost accounting for raw materials and finished goods. Working closely with production and procurement teams to ensure financial accuracy. Supporting budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.

Assisting with audit preparation and ensuring compliance with financial controls and procedures. Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and operational efficiencies. What you'll need to succeed Minimum of 2 years' experience within a finance or accounting position. Previous exposure to a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment would be highly desirable. Experience using ERP systems, ideally within a manufacturing setting. Strong Excel and systems skills.

Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both finance and operational teams. Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and work independently. What you'll get in return Competitive salary package (£40,000).
