About the Job

Reporting to the Company Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the companies accounts function.

• Assist with the management of the creditor (accounts payable) and debtor (accounts receivable) ledgers
• Process invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately and efficiently
• Reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts
• Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve invoice queries
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial workflows
• Gradually take full ownership of ledger management responsibilities

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (13 years preferred)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, Quick Books) and Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Willingness to learn and grow into a more senior finance role
