Accounts Assistant

You will be joining a collaborative finance function where you can broaden your experience, take on new responsibilities and develop alongside the organisation. Working closely with the Accounts Manager, your contribution will be visible and valued from the outset. As Accounts Assistant, you will provide day-to-day support across the finance department, helping to ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining financial records to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:
Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently Posting receipts and payments to the accounting system Maintaining supplier and customer accounts Completing bank reconciliations Maintaining Irish RCT records Ensuring accounting transactions are correctly coded Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory reporting Undertaking general finance administration Supporting the Accounts Manager with ad hoc duties You will receive: A competitive salary of £30,000 per annum A permanent, full-time position Monday to Thursday hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm An early finish every Friday, working 8.30am to 2.30pm The opportunity to join a well-established and growing business Broad exposure across a busy finance function The chance to develop your accounting knowledge and practical experience Genuine potential to grow and progress alongside the company Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
