You will be joining a well-established and growing construction and development business based in Lurgan, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use projects across Northern Ireland. The company has a long-standing presence in the market and is known for its commitment to quality, value, and long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of a Maintenance Quantity Surveyor.

Your new role

As an MTC Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for managing the commercial aspects of maintenance and small works projects. You will play a key role in ensuring cost control, value delivery, and efficient project execution across a range of ongoing works and reactive maintenance contracts.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing the commercial delivery of maintenance and minor works contracts

Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and valuations

Monitoring project costs and ensuring works are delivered within budget

Assessing and processing subcontractor payments and variations

Liaising with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery

Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities

Producing regular cost reports and forecasts

Ensuring compliance with contractual and company procedures

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within maintenance, social housing, or small works projects

Strong commercial awareness with excellent cost management skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Good understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (desirable)
Proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail
