Volunteer:
Amateur Astronomer – Armagh Observatory & Planetarium
We are inviting enthusiastic amateur astronomers with a personal telescope to volunteer at the exhibition area of the Armagh Planetarium. Volunteers will speak directly to visitors about telescope use, astronomy fundamentals, and sky highlights.
When: Any time during our opening hours, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00–17:00.
We welcome anyone who is passionate, approachable, and happy to share their experience, regardless of professional background.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Share your knowledge in a relaxed, friendly environment.
- Help families, students, and beginners feel confident about starting astronomy.
- Connect with like-minded enthusiasts.
- Support one of Ireland’s leading centres for space education.
