M&E Maintenance Project Manager (Public Sector)

Position: 6-month contract initially with possibility of extension or permanent.

• Respond on a day to day basis to requests from building users, for urgent repairs to their mechanical and electrical systems and infrastructure including kitchen equipment and other services deemed necessary.
• Respond quickly and effectively to requests for day to day emergency maintenance and repairs to the Mechanical and Electrical Services installations and equipment in all properties.
• Carry out regular visits to properties in relation to day‑to‑day maintenance problems and planned maintenance programmes.
• Appoint and supervise contractors of various disciplines to carry out maintenance repairs and planned maintenance projects.
• Issue and be accountable for works orders to contractors, for maintenance works and tendered projects.
• Inspect, supervise and instruct contractors of various disciplines in relation to the quality of work in progress.
• Co‑operate with DRD, DENI, Water Service, Local Councils, NIE and Health and Safety Inspectorate to enable maintenance projects to be carried out effectively and in compliance with relevant legislation.

• Have an HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical & Electrical discipline with a minimum 2 years’ post‑qualified experience.
• Have an ONC or equivalent in Mechanical & Electrical discipline with a minimum of 4 years’ post‑qualified experience.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Mechanical & Electrical discipline.
• Proven ability to achieve challenging targets and objectives through the engagement of teams.
• Proven ability to build high‑performance teams, delivering and achieving effective results on time and solving problems through informed decision making.
• Proven ability to build and promote a strong and consistent Service Delivery culture throughout a large complex and multi‑site organisation.

£44,075 per annum, plus discount benefits.
