The successful candidate will play a key role in project delivery, client management, and strategic planning advice while working alongside some of the industry's leading planning professionals.
THE ROLE As a Senior Planner, you will lead and manage planning projects from initial appraisal through to planning application submission, negotiation, appeal, and determination. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, coordinating project teams, and providing strategic planning advice across a broad range of sectors.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planner looking to work on some of the UK's most high-profile developments within a market-leading consultancy environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leading planning applications and appeals across a range of development sectors
• Managing complex planning projects from inception through to completion
• Preparing and reviewing planning statements, appraisal reports, and supporting documentation
• Undertaking planning appraisals and development feasibility assessments
• Providing strategic planning advice to clients and consultant teams
• Supporting major developments and Environmental Impact Assessment projects where required
• Liaising with Local Planning Authorities, consultees, and key stakeholders
• Managing client relationships and attending project meetings, consultations, and presentations
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or related discipline
• MRTPI qualified
• Strong experience within a planning consultancy, developer, or local authority environment
• Excellent understanding of the UK planning system and planning policy
• Experience managing complex planning applications and development projects
• Strong client-facing, communication, and negotiation skills
• Excellent report writing and project management abilities
