Graduate Design Engineer

Hays Engineering are delighted to be partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation based in County Armagh to recruit a Graduate Design Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineering graduate to join a well-established business known for innovation, quality, and investment in people. Working within a supportive engineering team, you will receive hands-on training and development while contributing to the design and development of industry-leading products.

Your New Role As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will support the design and development of new and existing products from concept through to manufacture. Working closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, you will gain exposure to a wide range of engineering activities and play a key role in delivering innovative engineering solutions. Key responsibilities will include:
Producing 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using CAD software Assisting with product design, development and continuous improvement projects Supporting prototype development, testing and validation activities Preparing engineering documentation, BOMs and technical specifications Collaborating with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable Supporting design reviews and problem-solving activities Assisting with technical calculations and engineering analysis Ensuring projects are completed to quality, cost and timescale requirements What You'll Need to Succeed Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a related discipline Strong interest in design, manufacturing and product development Knowledge of 3D CAD software gained through university projects or placements Excellent communication and teamwork skills Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines Placement or internship experience within an engineering environment would be advantageous but is not essential What You'll Get in Return Competitive graduate salary Structured training and mentoring programme Opportunity to work on innovative engineering projects Clear career progression and professional development opportunities Support towards further qualifications and training Modern working environment with a collaborative culture Company benefits package What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
