We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our team!

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm (Monday - Friday)

Location: Armagh

Job Summary:

We’re offering an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant seeking their first move into industry within a supportive and collaborative finance team, taking responsibility for the accounting function of one of our divisions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in month-end reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting the day-to-day finance function, while supervising a small team with our housing division.

Main

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Production and review of trial balances
  • Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information
Operational Finance
  • Payroll processing
  • Overseeing sales and purchase ledger activities
  • Supervising invoicing and day-to-day transactional processes
  • Supporting cashflow management and payment runs
  • Maintaining strong internal controls and procedures
Team Supervision
  • Supervising and supporting a small finance team
  • Reviewing work for accuracy and completeness
  • Assisting with process improvements within the finance function
What We Need From You:
  • Newly or part qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong experience preparing trial balances
  • Proven experience completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems
  • Experience working in practice and looking first move into industry
  • Exposure to month-end close processes
  • Experience supervising junior staff
