Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our team!
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm (Monday - Friday)
Location: Armagh
Job Summary:We’re offering an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant seeking their first move into industry within a supportive and collaborative finance team, taking responsibility for the accounting function of one of our divisions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in month-end reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting the day-to-day finance function, while supervising a small team with our housing division.
MainDuties & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Production and review of trial balances
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information
- Payroll processing
- Overseeing sales and purchase ledger activities
- Supervising invoicing and day-to-day transactional processes
- Supporting cashflow management and payment runs
- Maintaining strong internal controls and procedures
- Supervising and supporting a small finance team
- Reviewing work for accuracy and completeness
- Assisting with process improvements within the finance function
- Newly or part qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong experience preparing trial balances
- Proven experience completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems
- Experience working in practice and looking first move into industry
- Exposure to month-end close processes
- Experience supervising junior staff
