MCS Group are delighted to be partnered with a leading construction business as they look to appoint a Finance Manager to join their growing finance team.
The Company:Our client is a well established construction company with a strong reputation for delivering large scale commercial projects across Northern Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are creating this brand new position to strengthen the commercial finance function and support the business through its next phase of expansion.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in project accounting, cashflow management and commercial reporting while working closely with operational teams across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant looking to move into a commercially focused role where they can genuinely influence business performance.
The Rewards:As the successful Finance Manager, you will receive:
- £43,000 - £52,000 base salary

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing project cost reporting, cashflow forecasting and commercial performance across multiple live projects
- Overseeing applications for payment, contract valuations, claims and revenue recognition to maximise cash collection
- Analysing project profitability, monitoring costs and providing commercial insight to support decision making
- Working closely with Contract Managers, operational teams and key stakeholders to improve financial controls and commercial processes
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and working capital management across the business
The successful Finance Manager will meet the following criteria:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Previous experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing or another project‑led environment
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in project costing, cashflow management or management accounting
- Advanced Excel skills with excellent analytical and problem‑solving ability
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across finance and operational teams
