Do you want to be part of a large, dynamic, integrated children's therapy service? We are transforming our service, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for newly qualified Speech and Language Therapists to join our innovative and friendly Children's Therapy team.

We have roles available within the North and Mid Hampshire area (based in Basingstoke, Winchester or Aldershot) and the Portsmouth South East area (based in Fareham or Portsmouth).

HIOWH Children's Therapy Service has an integrated model of care across Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Podiatry working together to provide holistic support with children and their families at the centre of what we do. We have excellent working relationships with early years services, schools, health and social care colleagues. This enables us to support children and the wider community to develop creative and innovative ways of working together to better meet the needs of both the child and their family.

We can support you to develop your clinical and leadership skills by offering:

Main duties of the job

HIOWH NHS Foundation Trust's Integrated Children's Therapy service is for children aged 0-19 who experience challenges with Physical disability, daily functional activities, eating and drinking skills, speech, language, and communication.

This is a community service delivered in children's homes, pre-school settings, Children's Centres, mainstream schools, special schools, and community clinics.

Physiotherapists, podiatry, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists work together with children and their families as part of multi-agency teams with Health Care professionals across acute and community services, Education, social care colleagues and Equipment providers, to enable children achieve their therapy goals.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • BSc Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent
  • Registered member RCSLT
  • HCPC Registration
