Role Overview To contribute to the overall success of the People agenda in delivering a proactive and customer focused People & Culture service by providing effective support, guidance and advice to managers and staff members on a wide variety of People & Culture matters, such as employee relations, policy and process, recruitment and the delivery of key projects.

Key Responsibilities Provide high quality People & Culture advice and guidance to managers, supporting the effective resolution of complex and sensitive employee relations issues. Advise and coach managers on the application and interpretation of People policies, procedures and employment legislation. Support the implementation and embedding of People and Culture strategies and initiatives across the organisation. Manage and support complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability and absence management matters.

Draft People documentation, contractual amendments and correspondence in line with employment legislation and best practice. Build strong working relationships with managers to understand business needs and provide appropriate People support. Support recruitment activity, including job descriptions, person specifications, job evaluations and selection processes. Deliver People engagement activities, including new starter inductions and first-line support for People enquiries. Produce People data analytics and reports, maintaining confidentiality and data accuracy at all times.

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, practices and technology solutions. Skills and Experience

Experience of employee relations and absence management case work. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good working knowledge of employment law, People policies and procedures. Ability to manage difficult situations and influence outcomes.

Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent levels of customer service and Peple best practice. Willingness to travel to other company sites.
