About the Role As a Business Intelligence Team Lead, you will oversee a team of BI Developers and Senior Developers, ensuring high-quality delivery across dashboards, data modelling, analytics, and tooling initiatives.
You will manage team workload, drive operational excellence, partner with stakeholders, and support the long-term development of BI capabilities within EOS in partnership with the Data & Governance Lead.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to align teams around clear priorities.
What You'll DoTeam Leadership & Delivery Lead a BI team, overseeing daily delivery, planning, and prioritisation.
Ensure high-quality outputs across dashboards, data modelling, insights, and tooling activities.
Review analytical output, modelling accuracy, and dashboard quality prior to stakeholder delivery.
Supervise the allocation of BAU work, project initiatives, and support tickets across the team.
Manage performance, coaching, and career development activities for team members.
Stakeholder Management Act as the primary escalation point, ensuring issues are resolved and communicated effectively.
Build strong relationships with product, commercial, and operational stakeholders to support roadmap delivery.
Translate business needs into structured BI work streams, ensuring clear requirements and expectations are established.
Operational Excellence & Governance Ensure alignment with BI standards, data governance requirements, documentation expectations, and design best practices.
Support incident management by owning escalations, leading root-cause investigations, and coordinating cross-functional resolutions.
Oversee preparation of BI inputs for internal and senior leadership business reviews.
Technical Support & Mentoring Provide technical guidance on data modelling, dashboard design, performance optimisation, and BI tooling.
Mentor BI Developers and Senior Developers, supporting the development of their technical capabilities and business understanding.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across the team.
Strategic Contribution Partner with the BI Team Manager to shape long-term BI strategy, capability development, and tooling improvements.
Contribute to resource planning, process optimisation, and the identification of automation and efficiency opportunities.
Play a key role in prioritisation discussions, ensuring team capacity aligns with organisational priorities.
Experience6-8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data-focused roles.
Experience leading delivery work streams, mentoring analysts or developers, or supervising small teams.
Demonstrated success delivering high-impact BI or analytics solutions within a fast-paced environment.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Operations.
Technical Skills Strong proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Excel, and relational database concepts.
Experience with data modelling, dashboard design, and BI optimisation best practices.
Familiarity with CRM datasets, such as Salesforce, and cloud data platforms, such as Snowflake.
Understanding of ETL concepts, data structures, and dependencies across the BI ecosystem.
Soft Skills Excellent leadership and coaching capabilities, with a focus on supporting team growth and development.
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
Confident decision-maker who can prioritise effectively and manage multiple concurrent work streams.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with an influential and partnership-focused approach.
Highly organised, structured, and proactive in problem-solving.
