THE EMPLOYER IS: CITY OF ARMAGH CRICKET CLUBThe club operative is responsible for maintaining the current cricket club grounds, facilities and surrounding areas to a high standard. This role ensures that all playing, training, and public areas are safe, clean, well-presented, and ready for use by players, members, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Grounds Maintenance - Assist with preparation and upkeep of playing surfaces, practice nets, and outfield areas under direction from grounds team.
  • Grounds Maintenance - Set up and reposition equipment.
  • Grounds Maintenance - Perform basic grounds care tasks.
  • Grounds Maintenance - Ensure pathways, spectators areas, and access route are clean and safe.
  • Facilities Maintenance - Carry out routine cleaning of club buildings.
  • Facilities Maintenance - Assist with maintenance.
  • Facilities Maintenance - Ensure stores and sheds are kept tidy.
  • Surroundings and site presentation.
  • Match day set-up and support.
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Practical experience in grounds, maintenance or outdoor work.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work safely with tools and equipment.
  • Experience in sports turf and facility maintenance.
  • Respectful and co-operative working style.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to support matchdays, weekends and seasonal hours.
