This is an excellent opportunity for a quality or technical professional looking to broaden their experience within a varied role, supporting food safety, quality, product development and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining technical standards while collaborating across production, NPD and supply chain functions.

The Role Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will support the site's technical function, ensuring products consistently meet customer, regulatory and food safety standards while driving continuous improvement across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, customer and food safety standards
Supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System Conducting internal GMP, Glass & Hard Plastic audits and supporting external audits
Investigating customer complaints and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions where required
Working alongside the NPD team on new product launches and process improvements
Providing technical support on ingredients, product specifications and manufacturing processes
Liaising with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet required specifications and documentation is maintained
Acting as a technical point of contact for customers and suppliers in the absence of the Technical Manager Delivering technical and food safety training to production and dispatch teams
Supporting production with technical expertise and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Promoting a positive food safety and quality culture across the site
What you'll need Previous experience within a Technical, Quality or Food Safety role in food manufacturing
Working knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS and food safety legislation
Experience conducting audits and investigating non-conformances
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departmentsA proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement
